Krista Frederic

Krista Frederic is licensed physical therapist with a passion and focus on orthopedic physical therapy.  She is a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist and she particularly enjoys treating injuries of the hip, shoulder and knee.  Krista is a strong believer in prevention of injury and dysfunction through maintenance of a healthy lifestyle.  She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and is a Titleist Performance Institute Medical Professional. Krista is a certified in Graston Technique. She is also Level 1 Dry Needling certified through KinetaCore.  She was a collegiate volleyball player and remains physically active through fitness classes, tennis, and golf.  

As owner, Krista has established a culture within Forever Fit that places special focus on rapid recovery.  Her team performs comprehensive injury evaluations and takes the time to develop a thorough understanding each patient’s body structure, environment, and lifestyle, a key to successful physical therapy outcomes.  As a result Forever Fit’s clients enjoy a truly individualized wellness experience with an inclusive treatment plan of exercise and manual therapy.  But most importantly it is her team’s attention to patient education on their bodies and their injuries that makes Forever Fit’s patients comfortable with their recovery plans, insures their active involvement in the recovery process and makes patient referral Forever Fit’s most important and reliable source of new clients.

 

Renee Nyarko Eluma

Dr. Renee Nyarko Eluma graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biopsychology. She then went on to pursue her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 2006.

For the past 15 years, Dr. Renee Eluma has provided comprehensive treatment to her patients using a wide variety of manual therapy techniques complimented by exercise to help patients return to a healthy lifestyle. All treatments that she utilizes incorporates functional activity and movements to ensure that the patient’s functional goals are addressed. She is also a strong proponent of patient education to assist each patient in their transition to independent management of their impairments. She enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic injuries, especially those involving the shoulders, knees and ankles. She spent 4 years volunteering her time to the Washington DC Divas, a professional women’s tackle football team, where she provided sports PT assessment and treatment to help players return to the field. In 2014, Dr. Renee Eluma opened the second Forever Fit outpatient physical therapy facility in Bowie, Maryland. Since then, she has assisted in the opening of two additional clinics with Forever Fit Physical Therapy. Recently, she was named one of Maryland’s 2019 Top Doctors in the Physical Therapy Category.

In her spare time, Dr. Renee Eluma enjoys spending time with her husband and two young girls. She volunteers her time to a non-profit organization that raises money to provide hospital and school supplies to villages in her family’s home country of Ghana, West Africa. Her favorite pastimes include traveling, meeting new people, cheering for all the Washington DC area home teams, especially the Washington Redskins.

Tiphani Jackson

Dr. Tiphani Jackson is a licensed physical therapist with a passion for helping people realize their physical and mental potential through movement science and patient education. She received her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from North Carolina Central University in 2015 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Howard University in 2018. She was later accepted into the GW University Neurologic Residency Program after developing a passion to collaborate with people who have experienced neurologic medical events during her clinical rotations. In 2021, she received the designation of Neurologic Clinical Specialist after completing a 15-month residency intensive and passing the national board exam.

Dr. Jackson has a passion for empowering her patients to take command of their health status in a way that “meets them right where they are.” She also challenges them to focus on more than just the physical aspect of their recovery in order to facilitate a holistic approach to the rehab process.

Dr. Jackson currently resides in the Bowie area and credits God, her family and her closest friends with giving her much-needed support to influence the patients and community she loves so deeply. Outside of time in the clinic, Dr. Jackson is the founder of No Lack Community Wellness, a creative agency dedicated to establishing better health and wellness culture in music and entertainment spaces. She is also an avid lover of music, sports and DC brunch!

Anne Coakley

Anne Coakley earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland Baltimore. Anne has practiced Physical Therapy for 31 years. Twenty eight years has been dedicated to orthopedic population. Anne’s continuing education has been dedicated to all areas of patient treatment especially manual therapy. Anne particularly enjoys educating her patients for independence in self-management for her patient’s improved quality of life. Anne has lived in Maryland all of her life. She has enjoyed raising three children with her husband Jon. Traveling, long hikes with her husband and dog and any outdoor adventure keeps Anne active in her free time.

Nency Mehta

Dr. Nency Mehta completed her Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy in Pune, India in 2015. Thereafter she practiced in India for 1.5 years where she gained additional hands-on experience by working in an Outpatient Orthopedic, Hospital setting where the patient caseload was mainly centered on orthopedic, neurological- adults/pediatric, and spinal post-surgical conditions.
Dr. Mehta completed her Doctor in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University, California in 2019. Over the years of her clinical work experience, Dr. Mehta has worked with Orthopedic, Sports injuries, Neurological, Pediatric, Geriatric, Cardiovascular, Vestibular, and Work conditioning patients. She has completed several workshops on Differential diagnosis & treatment of lower extremity edemas, the Motor Relearning Program for Stroke Rehabilitation, and PNF in Neuro Rehabilitation. Dr. Mehta has also been a Physical Therapy volunteer for Pune International Marathon, in India. Dr. Mehta uses an evidence-based and patient-centered treatment approach to assist and restore a patient’s functional status to its fullest potential. She is experienced in working with all age groups and looks forward to the ability to treat a variety of conditions at Forever Fit Physical Therapy & Wellness. Dr. Mehta enjoys spending her spare time working out, traveling, and exploring new places every year.

Shweta Nerurkar

Dr. Shweta Nerurkar graduated from the University of Indianapolis in 2015 with a Masters degree in Physical therapy. She went on to earn a transitional doctor of physical therapy degree with manual therapy certification. She values further learning, completing continuing education courses focusing on joint mobilisation, Mckenzie techniques for the spine, vestibular rehabilitation, graston technique, mulligan technique, neural tissue mobilisation and kinesiotaping technique. She is a certified LSVT BIG therapist for treating Parkinson's patients. Dr. Shweta Nerurkar's expertise include treating pre and post operative patients, several orthopaedic conditions and neurological conditions like stroke and Parkinson's disease. She is experienced in working with all age groups and looks forward the ability to treat a variety of conditions at Forever Fit Physical Therapy & Wellness.

Brittany Metzger

Dr. Brittany Metzger is a board certified physical therapist who specializes in Pelvic Health and enjoys helping people of all ages gain autonomy over their pelvic floor dysfunction.

Earning a B.S. in Kinesiology from Penn State University opened her eyes to the many ways movement can drive overall wellness and have a positive impact on health, inspiring her career. Graduating with a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, she was able to gain invaluable mentorship and experience working with women and men suffering from pelvic pain as well as various bowel and bladder conditions. In her first years of practice, she was able to expand her breadth of knowledge to include pediatrics, pregnancy, postpartum, and more medically complex patients.

Committed to providing the best possible care for each of her patients she will create a unique program to address each person’s specific needs and goals. Through education, exercise, and self management strategies she hopes to foster independence and confidence for lifelong success.

Kinnariben Patel

Kinnari Patel, PT, DPT, CLT is a manual therapist with focus on pelvic health and lymphedema management. Kinnari graduated with Masters in Health Science with concentration in PT from Long Island University in NYC in May 2005 and went on to receive her doctorate in PT from LIU in 2009. Kinnari has been working as a PT since July of 2005. Her early experience as a PT ranges from working bedside post surgical, neurological rehabilitation in a TBI rehab setting, rehabilitation setting for post surgical such as joint replacement, stroke rehab, MS, Parkinson’s, working in the Neonatal ICU providing PT to premature babies and their mom’s , working in neuro ICU providing bedside PT to patients post brain tumor debulking, stroke, other neurological disorders. Starting in 2009, Kinnari started her pelvic health training with the American Physical Therapy Association and Herman and Wallace taking myriad of courses to educate herself in treating bladder and fecal incontinence, pelvic pain, pregnancy related pain and incontinence, treatment of clients post partum, Diastasis Recti, myofascial pain, Interstitial Cystitis. Kinnari has been working with pelvic health since 2009. In 2011, Kinnari started working at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center full time in outpatient clinic mostly seeing patients with history of gynecological and breast cancer. Here she furthered her training and became certified in lymphedema management. Starting in late 2011, Kinnari worked part time in a Women’s health clinic and was mentored by a renowned pelvic health expert in NYC treating bladder and fecal incontinence, pelvic pain, pregnancy related pain and incontinence, treatment of clients post partum, Diastasis Recti, myofascial pain, Interstitial Cystitis to further her knowledge. Kinnari has taken extensive courses through Barral institute to learn visceral mobilization and has been incorporating this technique into her repertoire when needed. Kinnari has taken courses through the Institute of Physical Arts to further her manual training. Kinnari continues to take continuing education course to improve her manual skills and treatment of pelvic health for both men and women as she believes learning never stops. She believes in order for her to be a better Therapist for her patients improving her knowledge is key.

Margaret Blount

Margaret Blount is excited to join the team at Forever Fit! She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from the University of Scranton in 2017, also earning a minor in psychology. She then took a gap year, volunteering at a school for people with special needs on the Navajo Nation with Mercy Volunteer Corps. She graduated from University of Maryland — Eastern Shore with a doctorate in physical therapy in September 2021. Professionally, her interests include vestibular and post-concussion therapies, chronic pain neuroscience, and pediatrics. She is looking forward to bringing these experiences to the field of pelvic health. In her free time, she likes to hang out with her dog, practice embroidery, and bake tasty things.

Meghan Reed

Dr. Meghan Reed, DPT received her B.S. in Biology from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD in 2015. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, MD in 2019. Dr. Meghan Reed grew up all over the United States with some time spent abroad due to growing up in a military family. She has been living in Maryland for the past decade. Dr. Meghan Reed loves the field of physical therapy for both the active nature of the job and the difference physical therapy makes in people’s lives. She likes treating patients with conditions affecting the shoulders, knees, and ankles. She enjoys working with patients of all ages. Outside of work, Dr. Meghan Reed enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

Theresa Logan

Theresa Logan, PTA, LMT, MLD-C, has been a practicing Physical Therapist Assistant in the field for just over 17 years.  She earned her A.A.S as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Montgomery College in 2005 and began working in outpatient orthopedics in 2006.  She has experience not only in treating a wide range of orthopedic conditions and post-operative patients, but also has experience in the pediatric traumatic brain injury field.  In addition to her work in physical therapy, Theresa returned to school to obtain a license in Massage Therapy from the Potomac Massage Training Institute as well as both a Bachelors and Masters in Health Care Administration.  Not only does she strive to help each patient achieve their individual physical therapy goals, but she also has special interest in quality and safety and is always looking for ways to improve the overall patient experience.  When not treating patients in the clinic, Theresa can usually be found spending time with her family, and her three dogs.

 

Katy Johnson

Dr. Kathryn Johnson attended the University of Maryland College Park where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and then attended the University of Delaware where she earned her Master's degree in Anatomy and Clinical Health Sciences as well as her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. While at the University of Delaware, Dr. Johnson participated in the LEND Fellowship, which focuses on cultivating leadership skills and emphasizes multidisciplinary health care, especially in the pediatric field.

Dr. Johnson grew up playing soccer and lacrosse competitively which led to her love for movement and physical activity. She saw the immense need for physical therapy to help her return to sport and life activities following injuries and that led her to pursue physical therapy. Since graduating Dr. Johnson has worked in the outpatient orthopedic setting starting as a staff physical therapist and then as a Director of Physical Therapy. She enjoys working with patients from all age ranges and injuries, but has a particular passion for assisting patients with low back pain.

Outside of the office, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with her fiancé, family, and friends, working out, hiking and reading.

Darshana Boricha

Dr. Darshana Boricha started practicing Physical Therapy after she completed her Bachelors in Physical Therapy from Mumbai, India in 2015. She worked in an inpatient facility as she wanted to learn more about rehabilitation for post operative conditions. She went on to practice in an Outpatient Orthopedic and Sports facility for 1 year where she got a chance to work with different sports and musculoskeletal disorders. She also was the lead Physical Therapist for the Great India Marathon, and other sports teams in India.

Dr. Boricha completed her Doctor in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University, California in 2017 where she also got a chance to practice under her DPT program director. She moved to Maryland in 2019 and started working in an Outpatient Physical Therapy clinic where she worked with all age populations and extensively worked on treating Musculoskeletal and Neuromuscular conditions. She also loves treating the Pediatric population.

Darshana also completed an 8 day Mulligan Mobilization program to enhance her hands-on skills to treat patients with spinal and joint related conditions.

In her free time, she loves to explore new places and has a bucket list of visiting at least 3 new places every year.

Janelle Martinez

Dr. Janelle Martinez graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences. She received her doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 2008. Her experience covers multiple settings from hospital, rehabilitation, home health and outpatient. Her treatment focus is mainly in outpatient orthopedics, treating post surgical, orthopedic and sports injuries. In 2022 she completed her Dry Needling Certification through Evidence in Motion to offer her patients another option in alleviating pain and disability. She is energized by helping patients achieve their highest potential and improve their quality of life as they recover from acute to chronic injuries and conditions through treatment and education. As a former Division one track and field athlete and a Black Belt, Dr. Janelle Martinez understands the value and importance of an active lifestyle and is committed to helping each patient achieve his or her best life.

Jessica Hart

Dr. Jessica Hart graduated from University of Maryland, College Park in 2012 with a degree in Kinesiology. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2016. Dr. Jessica Hart worked as a Physical Therapy Technician for the company from 2012 to 2013 and rejoined the company as a Physical Therapist in 2016. Dr. Jessica Hart first became interested in physical therapy in high school when she fractured her low back after years of playing competitive volleyball. Some of her favorite past times include spending time with family and friends, watching football, and playing with her dog. Dr. Jessica Hart has completed her Dry Needling Certification and particularly enjoys treating hip, knee and foot injuries.

Jyoti Panchal

Jyoti Panchal is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy at MUHS in Mumbai, India. Spurred by volunteer experience first gained in the acute setting of a paraplegic center, Jyoti would step into the role of Senior Spine consultant in a privately owned outpatient clinic where she managed evaluation and rehabilitation protocols for difficult complex spinal cases and led discussions in the applications of evidence-based research in spinal care within her team of providers. She moved to the USA in 2017 and pursued her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Loma Linda University in California. Jyoti has worked with privately-owned outpatient clinics in Maryland and New Jersey. Her primary focus has always been to treat various orthopedic conditions in various age groups. Following her focus, she pursued manual therapy specializations and is a certified Mulligan practitioner and Dry Needling specialist. While continuing her work as a Physical therapist she wanted to improve her management skills and hence pursued the Masters of Science of Management (MBA) degree from Sullivan University, Kentucky in 2021. Her passion for her work stems from the belief to help people regain functional independence and reduce disability by being physically active through exercises. In her free time Jyoti loves painting, gardening, reading and cooking.

Emily Rizzo

Dr. Emily Rizzo graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2016 with a degree in Kinesiology. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2020. Having played volleyball in her younger years, led her to encounter various injuries and develop a passion for physical therapy and the rehabilitation process. She enjoys working with a variety of patients of all ages in the orthopedic setting to help improve their quality of life. Outside of the office, she enjoys hiking, yoga, watching sports, trying new recipes, and spending time with her friends and family.

Katherine De Lara

Dr. Kat De Lara graduated from Marquette University in 2018 with a degree in Athletic Training. She went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Marquette University in 2021. Although she has an athletic background having played basketball and running growing up, Kat enjoys working with all populations. One of her primary goals as a physical therapist is to help people get back to doing what they love, whether that is getting back on the basketball court or playing with their grandkids pain free. With these goals in mind, Kat has completed additional training in trigger point dry needling and pelvic health. She prides herself in providing patient-centered care to ensure that everyone she works with feels heard and prioritized, which allows her to work together with her patients to achieve their goals. Outside of work, she enjoys getting outside (running, hiking, and just laying out in the sun), watching TV/movies, and hanging out with her family and friends.

 

David Oriala

Dr. David Oriala received his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Biology from the University of  Maryland, Baltimore County in 2019. He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Minnesota in 2024. Being from Hyattsville, Maryland, he decided to return back to the East Coast to continue with his career. Dr. David Oriala takes pride in patient education that tailors to their limitations and rehab goals including using lots of relatable examples during sessions. He has a strong focus in outpatient orthopedics of all ages as well as sports-related injuries and performance. His goal is to not only provide treatment to improve pain, strength and mobility but provide tools for patient understanding beyond their visits. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and football, watching sports, listening to music, watching comedies and quality time with loved ones. In addition, he is a big fan of potatoes and loves trying French fries from various restaurants.

Jessica Silver

Dr. Jessica Silver, PT, DPT received her B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland in 2010. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Touro College in 2013. Dr. Jessica Silver spent the first five years of her career working with primarily cardiopulmonary patients in hospitals and decided she was ready for a new challenge and made the switch to outpatient physical therapy in 2018. Dr. Jessica Silver is passionate about improving pain, increasing mobility, and preventing future injury for all of her patients.

Outside of work, Dr. Jessica Silver is the mom of twin girls and enjoys reading, watching Michigan football, time spent outdoors with her family, and traveling.

Lisa Jimenez

Lisa Jimenez graduated from Montgomery College’s Physical Therapist Assistant program in 2021. She has been working in outpatient physical therapy since, with a primary focus in orthopedics and an interest in vestibular therapy.

Outside of work, she enjoys going to see the latest movies and hanging out with her sisters!
