Katy Johnson

Clinic Director/Physical Therapist
Frederick

Dr. Kathryn Johnson attended the University of Maryland College Park where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and then attended the University of Delaware where she earned her Master's degree in Anatomy and Clinical Health Sciences as well as her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. While at the University of Delaware, Dr. Johnson participated in the LEND Fellowship, which focuses on cultivating leadership skills and emphasizes multidisciplinary health care, especially in the pediatric field.

Dr. Johnson grew up playing soccer and lacrosse competitively which led to her love for movement and physical activity. She saw the immense need for physical therapy to help her return to sport and life activities following injuries and that led her to pursue physical therapy. Since graduating Dr. Johnson has worked in the outpatient orthopedic setting starting as a staff physical therapist and then as a Director of Physical Therapy. She enjoys working with patients from all age ranges and injuries, but has a particular passion for assisting patients with low back pain.

Outside of the office, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends, working out, hiking and reading.

Megan Warres

Physical Therapist
Frederick

Dr. Megan Warres graduated with a degree in Mathematics and a minor in Dance from Haverford College in 2010. Megan personally experienced the benefits of physical therapy after an injury from ballet and, embarrassingly, an injury from piano (it was an overuse injury, don’t judge). She went on to graduate with her Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2015. Megan enjoys problem-solving complex cases and seeing a wide variety of patients including orthopedics, neurologic, pelvic floor, pediatrics, and performing arts. She especially enjoys the challenge of navigating communication with patients who speak different languages; she speaks French fluently, is working on her Spanish, and speaks snippets of several other languages. When she’s not in the clinic, she enjoys cooking and eating foods from different countries, hiking, dancing, and playing an assortment of musical instruments.
